Does it cost me anything to volunteer on projects?

Registering to become a member of Volunteer Kalamazoo is free, takes just a few moments and connects you to more than 250 nonprofit organizations. But did you know, there is a monetary cost to connect volunteers and support nonprofits that need them? Some of our existing volunteers are our biggest individual donors. Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support volunteerism and help make Volunteer Kalamazoo stronger.

How much time do I have to commit each month?

It's entirely up to you! Our goal is to make volunteering easy for everyone to fit into their busy schedules, so we offer projects with varying commitment levels. You can volunteer as much or as little as you like based on your time and interest.

After I become a member, how do I sign up for a volunteer project?

Click on the volunteer projects section of our website to find projects that interest you. Sign up for an opportunity through our website. You will receive an e-mail with directions and any other special instructions. Then go out on the project and have a great time while helping to meet an important community need.
